Hannah Christianson was born smiling, or so her mother says. Growing up in a lively family of seven, the young Hannah learned to perceive the world and art in her own unique way. Even at a very early age, Hannah became enamored with the piano and immersed herself into jazz and piano-based pop music. Years later, Hannah was playing various clubs around the upper Midwest, including a performance at the Winnipeg Folk Festival.
She has been a finalist in international songwriting contests such as the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and Great American Song Contest, has opened for respected artists such as Couer De Pirate, Jen Chapin, and Raining Jane, and graduated with a dual degree in Music Therapy and Songwriting at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music. Her thoughtful writing encompasses the human condition with honesty, charisma, and hope. "A good mix of sweetness and pop sensibility, with an engaging voice that sounds like fine wine," Peter Swenson, Director of Social Media, CD Baby.
She was selected as a winner in Berklee's prestigious Performer/Songwriter Contest and annual Songwriting Competition and has also performed in The Best of Berklee's Songwriters Showcase
Hannah released her debut album "The Part That Knows" in spring 2012, and traveled to Kenya during summer 2012 to teach music to children and teens. She spent the fall and spring of 2013 as a music therapy intern at Boston Children's Hospital, and in summer 2013, she traveled and toured with her duo, The Arrow and The Bow in Ireland and Scotland. She is now playing shows around the New England area and Midwest, as well as recording her second album.
Lady Rogo (Sarah Rogo) is a vibrant performer, singer/songwriter and multi-talented instrumentalist. Guitar in hand, she is a force on stage who's music is powerful and thought-provoking. She embraces classic styles such as country blues and folk while baring her soul through her enchanting melodies and honest lyrics. She draws from her passion for activism and as eastern philosophies like Buddhism to create music that makes a difference. Critics say "She's tradition with a twist" and her music has been compared to artists like Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, and Robert Johnson.
"Have you ever wondered what honey sounds like? Brindell is a soulful, sexy siren from the same beehive as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu. Behind the piano, she performs a melodious blend of funk, jazz, and soul that is a remedy for the ear and the sweet tooth, too."
-Boston Weekly Dig
"if anything is going to put us in the right groove, it's this newly minted diva of funk, pop, and jazz.Brindell's debut CD, 'Piece of Mind,' has been soothing our soul of late."
