KAMMERAKU
The vibrant VOXARE String Quartet teams up with renowned performers of Japanese instruments in a ground-breaking program of new music. KAMMERAKU (combining "kammer" of kammermusik, German chamber music, with "raku" Japanese for music) will present new works by Paul Moravec, Somei Satoh, Daron Hagen and James Nyoraku Schlefer, and will feature Nami Kineie (shamisen), Yumi Kurosawa (koto) and James Nyoraku Schlefer (shakuhachi).
