MC Chris
MC Chris

You may recognize mc chris' voice from some of the several cartoon characters he's played on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, where he worked for five years as a writer, actor and animator. He played MC Pee Pants in the "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" series, major motion picture and Midway video game. He also played Hesh on "Sealab 2021" as well as bit parts on The Brak Show. Soon he'll be returning to Adult Swim in two new projects: "Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge" with Neko Case, MF Doom, and T Pain, as well as the new live action series "1000 virgins," with SNL's Fred Armisen. When he's not acting, mc puts out hip hop records on his own label, mcchris llc. "Dungeon Master of Ceremonies," debuted in the top ten of itunes hip hop without any label help, marketing, advertising or distribution. His next album "mc chris is dead" debuted at number 4 on hip hop itunes breaking all previous records for the performer. Since the release mc chris did the entire route of warped tour 08, opened up for his idol, Reggie and the Full Effect and was featured in the Kevin Smith's "Zak and Miri Make a Porno" soundtrack. mc has been featured in the New York Times, Time, Newsweek, Wired, Spin, High Times, Starwars.com, Punknews.org and the Guardian.co.uk. (links to articles below) mc also started raising money for charity. mc's one year old nephew Murray was born with the disease Cystic Fibrosis. In 2008, mc and his fans met the goal of raising 25,000 dollars witha silver bucket on his merch table. So far in 2009, mc has already raised 15,000 dollars by selling all his nerdy toys and possessions on ebay every week to his fans, as well as touring. mc works in conjunction with Hasbro to create buzz on new toys like Indiana Jones, GI Joe and Star Wars while selling them to his fans online. Video game companies like Bungie (maker of Halo) Epic (maker of Gears of War) and Naughty Dog (maker of Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted series) also send mc games, toys and shirts to sell in his ebay auctions. The nerd community supports him and his cause 100% if you're interested in bidding or donating to the cause please go to mcchris.com and click on HELP FIGHT CF. mc chris has a new album out in 2009, still untitled. it will be released in multiple parts, the final installment being the entire album remixed and mastered with some secret bonus tracks. The first part, "part six part one" was released in March, part two comes out in June, part 3 in July and the final record will be released in conjunction with fall tour. mc is the number one unsigned comedian musician on myspace, with 93k myspace fans, 13k iLike fans, 11k facebook fans and 5k message board members. His live shows have turned into nerdy grateful dead-esque events for many, with fans driving and flying all over the country to see chris more than ten times. And kids across the ocean in countries such as England and Australia are catching on. mc keeps the live show fresh and original by weaving stand up and story telling in between songs. Often times, these "rants" end up on youtube. mc chris' rant on Kingdom Hearts 2 has been seen on youtube almost 2 million times. mc chris is first ever video game comedian rapper with a cartoon background.

MC Lars

MC Lars (real name: Andrew Nielsen) began making hip-hop-based tapes while still a kid, but was sidetracked from rap by such traditionally important issues to teenagers as playing guitar in a punk band and getting accepted to a college. Nielsen went to Stanford, and then did an exchange stint at Oxford, but all the while he was fiddling with desktop productions and developing his quirky, pop culture-savvy style. Boisterous live gigs and word of mouth built buzz for Lars' home studio raps (influences: everything from Atom & His Package and Weird Al Yankovic to KRS-One and the Beastie Boys). Then London imprint Truck Records issued a Lars full-length called Radio Pet Fencing in 2003, and the MC followed that with U.S. and U.K. tour dates. While the entirety of Fencing was recorded on his computer, the summer 2004 Side Cho EP Laptop -- while still charmingly simplistic -- was a comparatively grander production, with samples of notable rockers (Piebald, Brand New) and a stronger melodic sense. Cuts like "iGeneration" and "Signing Emo" were hits with downloaders and mtvU viewers, and MC Lars did live dates with groups like Gym Class Heroes and Bowling for Soup through spring 2005. The full-length The Graduate -- as MC Lars could hence call himself a Stanford alum -- appeared in March 2006; a string of U.K. shows followed the next month.

Mega Ran

Raheem Jarbo, aka Random or Mega Ran. Teacher/Rapper/Hero. People will remember Ran for his daring leap into video game remixing which led to a Capcom cosign, but Random's penchant for storytelling has impressed retro gamers while garnering respect from Hip-Hop's harshest critics. An incredible impromptu "freestyle" MC, Random's unique combination of fantasy and introspective hip-hop has found its way into TV shows, movies, video games, and even coursework at several universities. That's Random.
