Denise Djokic & David Jalbert
Enjoying a long-standing partnership, cellist Denise Djokic and pianist David Jalbert will come to Occidental as award winning soloists who in combination create a thrilling performance. Both young artists are making names for themselves in the chamber music scene with their passion for playing and technical mastery.
Cellist Denise Djokic has thrilled audiences worldwide with the youthful vigor, confidence, and passion of her playing. Having already performed with all of Canadas major orchestras and many major orchestras internationally, she has become a renowned and much sought after soloist. Denise was a featured performer at the 2002 Grammy Awards, and in 2003, she won and East Coast Music Award for her critically acclaimed debut CD.
David Jalbert is already gaining recognition as one of Canadas most remarkable pianists.
