Mendelssohn "Italian" Symphony
This colorful program will feature two symphonies known for their luminescent sound and relentless high energy. Prokofiev's first symphonic journey creates a completely unique blend of classicism and modernism which makes it one of his early masterpieces, while Mendelssohn was already a consummate master when he delivered his finest symphony and captured the spirit of a country that struck his imagination.
