SUNSET Summer Boat Party!

SUNSET Boat Party Update.

Due situations well beyond our control Claude Young will unfortunately not be making the SUNSET Boat Party. Please read his emails below explaining the difficult debacle he was in. As you can imagine we are very disappointed at this turn of events but the show must go on and you know we still can make the party happen. We are offering refunds if you are deeply gutted but otherwise we urge you to come join the fun on the bay. If you do, we are being joined by the dj stylings of long time SF favorite Mark E. Quark. Also, keep your ticket stub and gain FREE entry to the Claude Young make-up party. He has given his word that he will be coming back to the US (as he currently resides in Tokyo) to complete his tour in September and has vowed to come to San Francisco. So let's make the most of the situation at hand. We also have a great after-party lined up and we won't ride the bay again til Halloween. Once again, we are very sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Email from Claude to the tour promoters
Dear Friends,

With regards to my US tour the idea was by my (now) former manager who offered me the opportunity to do a proper tour of the USA while I was scheduled to be in town for my sisters wedding at the end of August 2011. I was in the middle of arranging flights and was made the offer. So I canceled plans to organize my own flight to attend my sisters wedding because I believed that the promised event being produced by my agent would take care of me getting to the US.

After agreeing to this I prepared for the tour and went to the airport as scheduled. The flight ticket originally offered to me was a full price ticket, but unfortunately after the tour was booked the ticket mysteriously had to be changed to a standby ticket offered from a friend of my manager who works for an airline. With the tour and your booking already in motion I basically had to agree to take the standby flight. No problem - long story short I was in the airport 13 hours. My name not being called for the flight and already past immigration I was trapped in the airport unable to leave until the airport was closed and immigration had to process anyone left in the terminal.

Of course this has created a tension between my now former manager and myself because I have held up to my part of the agreement but the flight ticket given to me was basically useless. I now find myself in a situation where I will have to miss my sisters wedding and instead will have to concentrate on organizing this tour personally. Not something I normally do but I am a man of my word and if your booking is in September we are going to do everything possible to make sure your date happens as planned.

Thanks for your patience I just wanted to get back to you all immediately and let you know were serious about making this tour happen.

I will be sure to make this event up to you. that's a promise. I'm working on coming in September might be able to extend my stay if thats good for you. if not your the first event next time I'm back, and I will make sure it's soon.

I'm working with the other promoters now and will keep you informed of any progress immediately.
