Inspired by actual events, Oscar-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) plays Sam Gold, a young, disillusioned Brooklyn Hasid. When a neighbor senses Sam's vulnerability, he recruits Sam to transport "medicine" from Amsterdam. As Sam begins to spiral deeper into the dark world of drugs, he is lost between a life as a smuggler and his deep-rooted connection to Judaism and his family.
