Master Recital: Hoffman & Helmerson
The third recital of the Piatigorsky Festival brings together two celebrated cellists for invigorating performances of classical cello works. Gary Hoffman, accompanied by pianist Rina Dokshitsky, performs Bernstein's Meditations, Bloch's From Jewish Life, and Boellmann's Sonata. Swedish cellist Frans Helmerson, with USC Thornton faculty member Bernadene Blaha on piano, performs Elegy by Fauré and Sonata by Prokofiev.
