Clash in the Coalfields
"Clash in the Coalfields" is a multi-team roller derby exhibition, taking place at the Madison Civic Center in Madison, West Virginia on August 27, 2011 at 7:00pm. Heart of Appalachia Roller Derby, the Kanawha Valley's newest women's flat-track roller derby team, is sponsoring "Clash in the Coalfields" as a fundraiser for several local-area charities, including medical expenses for Jake Weaver, a young Madison boy recently diagnosed with leukemia, and Rev-Up Madison.
