Obi Best will be Performing Live! At Zach's HUGE Birthday Bash!
This is going to be a 1950s - 1960s Cocktail Party Themed Event. Dress Code For Men is to wear a suit, or if you don't want to wear a suit you can wear a mid-century style Bowling Shirt or Hawaiian Shirt, NO JEANS PLEASE! Women are to wear Cocktail Dresses or anything you feel would be appropriate.

Think "Mad Men" style.

The members of Obi Best have made their own independent strides: Keyboardist and sometimes Bassist Bram Inscore has toured with Beck and Charlotte Gainsbourg; Keyboard wiz Aaron Arntz toured with Dweezil Zappa and Nikka Costa; Bassist Wendy Wang with Priscilla Ahn; and Barbara Gruska with Jenny Lewis. Barbara is currently touring with her brother in the band The Belle Brigade, currently touring with KD Lang. Alex Lilly no longer scrapes food off plates for a living and has performed with The Bird and the Bee, Rilo Kiley, Ry Cooder, Nick Lowe, and Sia and is the newest member of The Living Sisters as well as in a side project with fellow Obi Best Member Bram Inscore called Touche'.
Lilly's voice is playful and flirty, complementing her idiosyncratic songwriting and the detailed musical arrangements.

Obi Best released their debut album "Capades" in 2009 on Social Science Recordings earning stellar reviews from Spin, NPR, Nylon, Pitchfork, Flavorpill, and LA Weekly. Their music has drawn comparisons to artists as diverse as St. Vincent, XTC, Stereolab, Au Revoir Simone, The Bird and The Bee, and Todd Rundgren.

Obi Best has toured with Bird and the Bee, had a song placed on Showtime series "United States of TARA" and received continued support from LA's seminal radio station KCRW.
