Stay Amazed II: A celebration of poetry and music
Join us for the 2nd annual gathering hosted by Berkeley Arts Ambassador Susan Duhan Felix. A follow-up event to last year's Stay Amazed book launch, Stay Amazed II will feature all new works and tributes by local poets and songwriters plus a celebratory klezmer dance party.
Literary guests include California poet laureate emeritus Al Young, Bruce Bierman, Sylvia Boorstein, Sandra Cohn, Marisa Handler, Gary Lapow, Lior Tsarfaty, Eliana Derr, Yiskah Rosenfeld, and many more. Original musical compositions and dedications will be performed by Lester Chambers (of the Chambers Brothers), Linda Hirschhorn and Betsy Rose.
The evening will conclude with a klezmer dance party featuring Saul Goodman's Klezmer Band plus dancing led by Bruce Bierman.
Copies of "Stay Amazed" will be on sale, benefiting Poetry Flash: Literary Review & Calendar for the West.
Light Refreshements will be served.
