Rootstock Vineyard Concert Series
Discover new music and pair it with amazing wine at Hawk Haven Vineyard's Rootstock concert series! The sun setting behind the vineyard provides the perfect backdrop for a fun Friday night at Hawk Haven. Named for the essential part of the grape vine, Rootstock combines beautiful vineyard ambiance and intimate performances by world-class musicians. Grab a seat at one of our picnic tables or kick back on a blanket beside the vines. The show is about to start!

Rootstock Vineyard Concert Series is a feast for the senses, offering great music, stunning vineyard sunsets, and a picnic menu that complements award-winning Hawk Haven wines. Relax under the stars as you listen to live music from talented up-and-coming singer-songwriters and musicians on a stage built from an old flat-bed truck.

ABOUT DAN BURKE BAND
An Americana/New Grass Acoustic band from South Jersey, featuring Dan Burke on guitar and vocals, Tamara DeMent on violin and vocals, David Pinto on mandolin and vocals, Tim Lekan on upright bass, and Jim Moore on drums.

From Press of AC:
The band performs all acoustic sets and incorporates a few eclectic instruments which aren't usually seen on the South Jersey stage.

The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan and The Band's distinctively American sounds permeate the set, but Burke says the band shies away from the extended jam found in most similar acts.

"We keep them short," he says. "We try not to jam everybody out, but we do play a little Phish, too!"

Bandmates David Pinto and Tamara DeMent add an extra level of Americana with the addition of mandolin and violin, respectively. Burke says the band "tries to stay close to the originals," but the addition of mandolin solos in place of guitar, along with a certain degree of improvisation, gives the songs a more unique feel. The extent of their sound runs even deeper than that, according to Burke.

Concert starts at 7pm and plays until 9:30pm.
