RFF - "A Walk to Beautiful w/ Desarrollo Humano"
A Walk to Beautiful - 86 minutes
A Walk to Beautiful tells the stories of five Ethiopian women who suffer from devastating childbirth injuries and make the journey to reclaim their lost dignity. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. The trials they endure â and their attempts to rebuild their lives â tell a universal story of hope, courage, and transformation.
Desarrollo Humano - 30 minutes
Every year, the United Nations Organization (U.N.) publishes a Report on Human Development which establishes a worldwide ranking of countries based on a wide correlation of social, economic, demographic and health indicators. For the fifth consecutive year, Norway appears as the most developed country on the planet, while Niger again takes last place on this prestigious list, identifying it as the least developed country in the world. This documentary arose from the intention of getting to know the people who live in these countries, what they think, how they live and how they feel.
