FCP Film Finishing with Jesse Spencer Presented by Scary Cow
FCP Film Finishing with Jesse Spencer!

Class Description:
When your picture is locked and your edit is completed, how can you make your film really ready for the big screen?   What can you do to take your vision to the next level?  This class will explain the difference between "offline" editing and "online" editing in the new digital indie tapeless world.  Jesse will give an example-filled, visual lecture and then students are welcome to bring cuts of their Scary Cow films for the workshop portion of the class.  (please bring footage on hard drives so edits can be made)

Class Highlights:
- Mixing Formats: When does it matter and which formats work together
- Color Correction: What value does it add and how can you get that value as a beginner, without investing thousands of dollars into equipment?
- Mastering: When is it important to master to tape?
- Your Ambitions: Going to the web? DVD? A Festival? Broadcasting on television?  Make your film work for you.
- Allocating Resources: After the initial cost of starting post, editing can be very cheap - until you get to the end of your work. How much time and money do you need to save for finishing?
