LSWO presents a WASBE Preview Concert
The Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) presents a preview concert of its upcoming trip to the prestigious World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) convention. The concert will feature energetic and engaging works by Ron Nelson, William Bolcom, Ferrer Ferran, and Adam Gorb. The LSWO will give a premiere of Joseph Schwantner's "Luminosity: Concerto for Wind Orchestra" along with revisit one of the group's successful commissioned works in Ryan George's "The Wild Goose." Clarinetist Kimberly Cole Luevano solos with the LSWO as well on "Luminosity" and George Gershwin's "Walking the Dog." A portion of the ticket proceeds benefit the Berkner High School band program.
