DANCE CAMP
The Dance Camp runs 5 days beginning Wednesday August 10.
Here one can learn all the dances that were a major part of American lifestyle in the 1930's, - 1950's. This camp will specialize in partner dances like the Bop, Boogie Woogie, Balboa, Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag alongside line dances like The Stroll, The Madison, The Shim Sham. We'll have tracks for absolute beginners to advanced levels.
PACKAGES
5 DAY CAMP: Wednesday Aug 10 - Sunday Aug 14, 2011
Classes and activities will begin for you on Wednesday. You can purchase classes only or Combo which includes dances. This combo includes ALL EVENING DANCES from Wed - Sun.
4 DAY CAMP: Thursday Aug 11 - Sunday Aug 14, 2011
Classes and activities will begin for you on Thursday.
The combo includes THURSDAY - SUNDAY EVENING Dances!
3 DAY CAMP Friday Aug 12 - Sunday Aug 14, 2011
Classes and activities will begin for you on Friday.

Featuring Tiki Daddy, Rave On
Our Thursday Night Hawaiian Style Beach Party featuring live music that includes the Hawaiian inspired band TIKI DADDY and RAVE ON (the music of Buddy Holly), use of the Dance Floor by the beach and participation in our special activities TBA. SATURDAY August 13 2011 - SHOWDOWN Dance Party $25advanced/$35door, VIP Admission $65advanced/$75door
Convention Hall, Asbury Park Boardwalk
Featuring: The Stray Cats Lee Rocker, Matthew Piazzi and the Debonairs, Bill Haley Jr.
A full night of great music, dancing (on a huge wood dance floor), a professional dance show, PLUS special guest appearance by Bill Haley Jr. and closing out the night will feature our headline band Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats. It is available thru our music package deals only at this time. This night will be available for individual purchase beginning April 29 thru ticketmaster. VIP Ticket holders get to attend the Pre-Party beginning at 6:30pm (Hor'Dourves and Drinks) and are given reserved seating at the tables along the dance floor.

SUNDAY August 14, 2011 - FAREWELL DANCE PARTY $20advanced/$25door

Our Finale night will be a celebration for all. Our music selection will be geared towards the Lindy Hop and Balboa dancers with some of the most popular swing bands in the nation. We'll also announce the winners of our competitions, thank all the volunteers, staff, instructors and performers. You won't want to miss it! This night is available now as part of our music package deals.
The Shake Rhythm n' Roll Music Festival is an event like no other, recreating and celebrating the roots of Rock n' Roll, and capturing a remarkable time period in American creativity and lifestyle. Five days and nights of music, performances, contests and a dance camp that will teach you all about the dances for this time period. Our festival will showcase Roots Rock n' Roll, Jump Blues, Boogie Woogie, Rhythm and Blues, Doo-Wop, Swing, Rockabilly, Latin, combined with the social dances that fit.
