"...crafts powerful, emotional and intelligent songs." NPR
Since her formative early days performing with her Boston-based band The Story, Jonatha Brooke has launched an artful and idiosyncratic solo career. From the alt-folk of The Story, to recent songwriting collaborations with Katy Perry and her debut theatre project "My Mother Has Four Noses," nothing seems outside of Brooke's realm of artistic capabilities. The musical "My Mother Has Four Noses" has spawned a soundtrack album of the same name, chronicling her mother's battle with dementia and the impact it had on Brooke as a performer and a daughter.
