Tango with Trio Garufa and Friends
Arena Theater and the Whale and Jazz Festival 2011 present the impeccable Trio Garufa plus fine guest musicians Mayumi Urgino, violin and Ara Anderson, trumpet.
The world-wide acclaimed international ensemble performs authentic Argentine Tango with integrity. Music from the Golden Era ('30s thru '50s), folkloric music and modern Astor Piazzolla tangos are featured. The concert is exotic, virtuosic and extremely danceable. The line-up: Sascha Jacobsen (Russia), acoustic bass; Guillermo Garcia (Argentina), guitar; and Adrian Jost (Switzerland), bandoneon & bayan. The Arena Theater Bar and snack stand will be open. Tickets will be $28.00, $3.00 off for members at vendors; $30.00 at the door.
