REEL JERSEY GIRLS Panel
"REEL JERSEY GIRLS - ALICE GUY TODAY - A CENTURY OF WOMEN IN FILM".

The Fort Lee Film Commission will sponsor the 2011 Garden State Film Festival symposium to the first woman filmmaker in cinema history, Alice Guy Blache.  This symposium will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at 3PM at the Parlor Gallery, 717 Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park. Among the panelists will be GSFF Festival Director Diane Raver and Fort Lee Film Commission / New York Women in Film & Television's Christina Kotlar.  The Fort Lee Film Commission will also screen the Alice Guy Blache directed A House Divided (1913) produced at Solax Studio in Fort Lee, New Jersey. This will be the first symposium dedicated to Madame Blache in New Jersey. We will highlight her role as the owner / operator of Solax Studio in Fort Lee.  This symposium will also concentrate at the role of women today in the film industry.
