MODERNISM Music hits the streets and is available in every home. Jazz composers ask individual musicians to explore a theme through improvisation. Revel in the musical freedom of the 20th century where there's no such thing as a wrong note.
About the Performer:
David Vest is a fabulous, foot-stompin' roots-rocker and boogie-woogie piano player, who can just as effortlessly play beautiful jazz and country blues ballads. His live shows are legendary, and his career probably pre-dates rock and roll itself.
Onstage with Big Joe Turner and opening for Roy Orbison before he was old enough to vote, he later played with blues giants like Bo Diddley, Jimmy T99 Nelson, and Hubert Sumlin. He wrote the first songs recorded by Tammy Wynette.
He has been credited with keeping an important part of Americana alive, and his new release, Roadhouse Revelation, is already being called "a most amazing set of songs" and "a candidate for album of the year."
