Barry And Me - a tribute to Barry Manilow starring Phillip Moore
Barry Manilow's music will be sung, and story of his rise to fame told in "Barry And Me" starring local Palm Springs cabaret artist Phillip Moore. As the son of a preacher growing up in the South, Phillip developed a secret love of Barry's music, which aspired him to be a singer. He received a scholarship to Wallace State to study Performing Arts, then on to Southeastern Bible College to continue his vocal training. Since moving to the desert, Phillip has a weekly show at Hunter's, is a featured artist in other's shows, and lends his talents for local benefits. He recently starred in the premiere of the musical, Esperanza for Desert Ensemble Theatre. Local pianist, Joel Baker will accompany Phillip Moore for the May 17th performance and feature guest singer Darci Daniels.
