To watch Sarah Borges strut and howl onstage is to participate in rock 'n' roll communion, all glistening sweat and high kicks, soul-shaking and sassy antics. She's a modern-day retro spitfire, red lipstick curled in a smirk as she summons her six-string to conjure a host of fiery spirits, leaving a stunned and ecstatic audience in her wake.
As cliché as it may be, absence makes the heart grow fonder couldn't be a more genuine statement for singer/songwriter Sarah Borges as she embarks on her next musical adventure, the release of her new album, "Radio Sweetheart." After a year away from pouring her heart and soul into her music, penning her emotions into powerful lyrics, and leaving it all on the stage during rivetinglive shows, her love for her craft grew that much stronger. - See more at: http://sarahborges.com/bio/#sthash.gRQjTHeX.dpuf
Boston-based musician Scott Janovitz is releasing a series of new recordings beginning in 2015, marking his first official solo effort.
In 2010, he released an album under the name The Russians, a collective that featured a revolving cast of friends and musical compatriots. That LP, Crashing The Party, received critical acclaim, earned a Boston Music Award, and was named among the "Best Music of 2010" by the Wall Street Journal.
Janovitz took a break the following year, working on projects with other artists at his own Moontower Studio, and recording and touring several times as keyboardist for Graham Parker. He also co-composed the score for the Parker Posey film The Love Guide, writing and recording seven original songs for the soundtrack. Inspired by all of this work and the creative people behind it, he took to his home studio to begin writing and recording new songs in late 2013.
