ONTS Summer Theatre Camp for Kids 2015 (Ages 8-12)
Opening Nite Theatre Society (ONTS)is excited to offer a Children's Summer Acting Day Camp Program for the 2015 summer season!
Aspiring young actors will be take part in a 5-day Theatre Camp, which will start with an idea, end with an original show, and in between we'll explore a huge range of theatre arts along the way! Everything from creating characters, acting, movement, improv, painting sets, masks, music..got a talent? We'll use it! Wanna learn? We'll try it out! Then we'll take everything we've learned, and put together an exciting, multi-arts production for family and friends on the final day! Theatre experience is not a requirement for this camp, and the age range will run from 8-12. There is limited registration, so enroll now!
This season, there will be TWO CAMP SESSIONS offered (both run for 5 days from 10am-4pm)Sign up for one or both!!:
SESSION 1 - July 20-24 "Fractured Fairytales"
What happens when you take your favorite story heroes and mix them up into a new adventure? Loads of fun, that's what!!
SESSION 2 - Aug. 17-21- Planet X -Meet the Morps! -Come explore a brand new planet, and join a perilous mission with your new space friends!
Each camp will spend mornings doing theatre games, improv, set painting, prop and costume creation, then a break for lunch, followed by afternoons developing and rehearsing our original play. That play will be performed at the end of the Session for friends and family!
TOTAL COST PER SESSION is $100 per child (tax included + $4.49 service fee)
NOTE: For children ages 8-12 yrs of age. Please note that space is limited to 15 children per session. Only those who have purchased a ticket are deemed to have a confirmed spot in the class. A registration form will need to be filled out PRIOR to starting class - you will receive a registration from via email after purchasing your class. If you wish to receive the registration via another method or have questions please call Jennie Bice at 604-814-3430.

Theatre Camp Director Jennie Bice has a B.A. Honours Degree In Dramatic Arts from the University of Windsor, with a strong background in theatre studies, improv, acting, dramaturgy, scenery, lighting, costumes, stage management and arts administration over the course of her career in many aspects of the arts. Past productions include four years as Fairy Nice in Opening Nite Theatre's yearly Pantomime shows, seven years of acting, directing, technical directing, and musical directing.
