Mansions & Music III: What Came Before and After
This year's season, A Year in France with Debussy, Ravel, and friends, concludes with What Came Before and After, which will feature a variety of compositional styles and works by French composers: Leclair (Baroque), Fauré (Romantic), Debussy (Impressionist), and Messiaen (mid-20th Century). The evolution of French classical music resulted in complex melodic and harmonic progressions, lush tone colors, and unconventional instrumentation. Aimee Kreston will be joined by her student Sara Nemiro and pianist Mark Robson.
