Patrick Ball in Concert at St. Patrick's Cathedral, San Francisco
The 8th Annual Crossroads Irish-American Festival presents a remarkable opportunity to hear the music of internationally celebrated Celtic harpist, Patrick Ball, in the sanctuary of St. Patrick's Cathedral. This performance by one of the world's premiere Celtic harp players in St. Patrick's Cathedral, replete with Connemara marble and stained glass windows of Irish saints, promises an unforgettable evening of beautiful music in a building embodying the history of Irish San Francisco.
Patrick Ball brings to life two cherished traditions of harp and story, blending them to create "a richly theatrical and hauntingly beautiful performance." This is an especially auspicious occasion as St. Patrick's Church celebrates its 160th anniversary in 2011; it was founded by the Irish community in 1851 and boasted a congregation of 30,000 in 1870!
