Detroit's Slum Village, former group of the late great J Dilla, is best known for their soulful funk inspired albums such as "Fantastic Damage Vol 1 & 2", "Detroit Deli" and their biggest hit to date, "Tainted". Phat Kat, set to release his latest project, "Carte Blanche", on San Francisco label Look Records, and is also a known J Dilla collaborator and Midwest hip hop pioneer.
