Ukulele Workshops & Concert with Stuart Fuchs

Stuart Fuchs is very excited to be coming to Orillia Ontario for a series of Ukulele workshops & a concert! His workshops not only teach but inspire through his unique, playful and creative processes for learning to play the ukulele.

Stuart (aka "Stukulele") is a nationally renowned ukulele entertainer and teacher, recording artist, sound healer, and an innovative and compassionate teacher. He is a lifelong minstrel and plays a wide variety of styles of music on acoustic guitar and ukulele including folk, classical, jazz, rock, avant garde, sacred and world music. He also plays Latin percussion, Bolivian charango, Australian didjeridoo, Native American flute, Tibetan singing bowls, and yes - hunting calls and amplified toys.

Stuart's concerts are like a combination of a summertime lawn bowling party, a mystical poetry reading in a Bedouin tent, a smoky jazz club, a nuanced recital hall concert, and heart opening meditation class. Audiences laugh, sing and clap along, reflect upon life's mysteries and sometimes even shed a tear.

THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY 6/6/15 IS:

4pm Workshop 1 Catch the Wave (Ukulele 101)
5pm Workshop 2 (Beatles Uke Jam)
7pm Concert with special guests appearances by Will Davis & Jojo Worthington!

1) ALL levels of player are welcome...nothing will be too hard!

2) bring any sized uke to play (soprano, concert, tenor)...if you play Baritone, please be prepared to translate the chords...baritone uke specific charts will not be provided.
