Shana Tucker-SHiNE CD Release Concert
ABOUT THE SHiNE SHOW
The moment we've all been waiting for...the SHiNE CD Release Concert! In "unplugged" style, Shana Tucker will perform all tracks from her debut CD, SHiNE, live with musicians from the recording.
With Chris Boerner, guitar (The Foreign Exchange, Mosadi, Jeanne Jolly, The Proclivities); Pete Kimosh, bass (Orquesta GarDel, The Beast); Grant Osborne (John Brown Quintet, Jeanne Jolly, Vince Gill); Josh Stohl, drums (Justin Robinson & the Mary Annettes). With Scotty Miller, guitar, and vocalists Jenn Mundia and Sarah Ittoop.
Special guest Justin Robinson (Carolina Chocolate Drops; Justin Robinson & the Mary Annettes) will accompany Shana on chosen favorites.
The concert will take place in the classic, beautifully restored school auditorium of The Reality Center, home to Reality Records, a new recording studio slated for completion in mid/late 2011.
CD signing, dessert reception by Sugar Fetish Bakery, a raffle to win copies of SHiNE to share,and meet & greet with musicians will immediately follow the performance. DJ B.i. spins from 9:45 PM.
$12 advance tickets; $15 at the door. $5 kids 5-12. General admission; guests receive a free SHiNE CD (excludes youth tickets).

ABOUT SHANA TUCKER
Transcending genre distinctions, SHANA TUCKER is a "ChamberSoul" cellist and singer/songwriter from New York who's set on blazing a trail for herself down in North Carolina. Her music is a sultry pastiche of acoustic pop and soulful, jazz-influenced contemporary folk.
Shana's debut solo project, SHiNE, outlines a musical journey that celebrates the major influences of everyday life: relationship, laughter, love...loss, rediscovery, and the never-ending journey towards heightened levels of peace, understanding and self-acceptance.

The SHiNE CD Project is a wonderful example of the power of community, through fan funding. This recording was made possible by the generosity and confidence of Shana's loyal fan base, who contributed over $7000 to her IndieGoGo campaign in order for her to pay her musicians, record in a world-class studio, and independently produce this professional, high-quality CD, right here in Durham, NC. This concert is as much a gesture of gratitude and thanks to her fans as it is a great way to spread the word about SHiNE.
ABOUT REALITY RECORDS & THE REALITY CENTER
Reality Records is the newest ministry of The Reality Center, a community center just north of Brightleaf Square in downtown Durham. This recording studio, slated for completion in 2011, will train young people in the art of recording technology, and help young artists produce quality recordings.
