The Project Management Institute Honolulu Hawaii Chapter ("PMIHNL") presents its annual Professional Development Day in Honolulu, Hawaii, and invites your participation. The purpose of the event is to provide participants with an opportunity to update their project management skills; network and share information with others in the discipline; and learn of additional tools and services available to assist them in the conduct of their endeavors. Speakers and Participants will include industry leaders, project management professionals, subject matter experts, and members of Hawaii's vast and talent-rich business community and beyond.

Dr. Jim Kirkpatrick is the Senior Consultant for Kirkpatrick Partners. He is a thought leader in training evaluation and the creator of the New World Kirkpatrick Model, the gold standard of training evaluation in the industry. Using his 15 years of experience in the corporate world, including eight years as a training manager, Jim trains and consults for corporate, government, military and humanitarian organizations around the world. He is passionate about assisting learning professionals redefine themselves as strategic business partners to become a viable force in the workplace. Jim co-authored three books with his father, Don Kirkpatrick, the creator of the Kirkpatrick Model. He also wrote three books with his wife, Wendy, including Training on Trial. Jim and Wendy also served as subject matter experts for the United States Office of Personnel Management's Training Evaluation Field Guide: Demonstrating the Value of Training at Every Level.

Dr. Paul Schempp is a professor and also Director of the Sport Instruction Research Laboratory at the University of Georgia. He is a consultant to coaches in the NBA, the Olympics, and the PGA, on performance and development. He is an author on expertise and extraordinary performance, often referred to as "The Expert on Expertise". Paul helps people understand and identify steps to becoming an expert, to achieving extraordinary things, to making effective decisions, and to reaching their full potential.

About our Organization and Expected Attendance
PMI is the leading professional organization for project management professionals worldwide. The Honolulu chapter was founded in 1997 and has over 580 members. More information about the chapter can be found at http://pmihnl.org.
There were over 270 attendees at the 2014 PDD event and a greater number is expected in 2015.
Early Registration of Groups of 10 or more will be open to PMI members and non-members at a discount price.
