Hogeye Folk Arts Presents an Evening with Larry Rand
Former Chicagoan Larry Rand brings fun-loving Midwestern sensibility to the sweet sound of California acoustic music; he calls it "Deep-dish Folk." Yummy.
A Hogeye favorite, Larry has appeared on HBO and Comedy Central ,where his song "Jacques Brel and I" was a Comedy Classic. His parody "Dust Up His Nose" was a Billboard breakout, and his "Generic Up-tempo Folksong" led off a Limeliters' performance on PBS. His songs have also been performed by Steve Goodman, Jim Post and others, including the Sweet Adelines.
Josephine Grey Parlor at Lake Street Church. $15.
