Hogeye Folk Arts Presents an Evening with 2nd Story: Unique Storytelling Event
Story telling. It predates by centuries the folk music that it helped spawn. And yet, it lives...as a cultural idiom, an historical record, and, yes, as folk entertainment.
2nd Story is a local story-telling ensemble that spins yarns to the occasional accompaniment of sounds and tunes, creating a mood unlike any other you may have encountered at a Hogeye concert. The ensemble includes about 90 storytellers....but fewer, they assure, will appear on our stage.
We're as excited about this as we are intrigued. If they're as fascinating as we expect, a new Hogeye tradition may be born.
