Musicians... Barbara Riccardi (violin) is a First Violin in the SF Opera Orchestra. She graduated magna cum laude from Vassar College, where she studied with Boris Koutzen. Further studies were with the Guarneri String Quartet, and Arnold Steinhardt in London and New York.
Katherine Button (violin) first played with the San Jose Symphony while a student at Stanford University. She has been a member of the Columbus (Ohio) Symphony and the Orchestra of Illinois in Chicago. She goes to England for the Berrow Chamber Music Festival, and free-lances in the SF Ballet and Opera Orchestras, and others in the Bay Area.
Jonna Hervig (viola) is a member of the SF Opera Orchestra, and has graced the Grand Teton and Aspen Festivals, as well as playing locally. She studied with William Preucil in Iowa, with Lillian Fuchs at the Manhattan School of Music, and with William Lincer at The Juilliard School.
Michael Graham (cello) studied at the Eastman School of Music and Yale University. He played in the Chagall String Quartet, the San Francisco Adorno Ensemble, and won a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. He is a member of the Oakland Symphony, plays with the New Century and San Francisco Chamber Orchestras, and tours and records widely.
