An Evening with Chad & Jeremy
The British Invasion hits Vergennes with "An Evening with Chad & Jeremy" on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 8:00pm at the Vergennes Opera House. This classic rock duo became a sensation in America with eleven Top 40 hits from 1964 to 1968 including "Summer Song", "Yesterday's Gone", and "Willow Weep for Me." Of all the British Invasion acts of the time, Chad & Jeremy were unique in that not only were they long-haired purveyors of English-accented pop hits, but they were clever songwriters who had a softer side and a sensibility closer to many of their US folk-pop contemporaries.
In 2003 they reunited and have been performing their two-man show ever since, with a mixture of original arrangements and new adaptations, to sold out crowds who flock to hear the harmonies and the humor.
