Night on Earth
With a lush score and original songs by Tom Waits, and a vibrant cast that includes Gena Rowlands, Winona Ryder, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Rosie Perez, Isaach De Bankolé, Béatrice Dalle, and Roberto Benigni, Night on Earth unspools five stories of taxi cab journeys over one intercontinental night. Set in the empty after-hours landscape of cities from Los Angeles to Helsinki, Night on Earth has what novelist Paul Auster dubs the " 'Jarmusch touch': that inimitable blend of deadpan humor, off-the-wall shenanigans, and exquisitely crafted images."
