Bump City (Tower of Power Tribute)
Bump City is a newly formed tribute band honoring the great Tower of Power. Together for years, working as an R&B, soul and funk cover band under the name Reunion, bandleaders Billy Sims and Matt Martinez decided to give the tribute band concept a whirl. All in all, this is an up-tempo, big, smooth-sounding, hip-shaking party band!
From their signature namesake, to "What Is Hip," "Still A Young Man," "Don't Change Horses," and "Very Hard To Go," Bump City covers all of the best known hits from the band that came out of the San Francisco Bay Area in the heady days of the early 1970's. Along with all the rock bands, of that era, a couple of brass bands emerged. Tower of Power is the standard bearer.
