The Passion of Saint Thomas More
Join the ensemble for a one-night-only pre-tour performance of Garrett Fisher's opera, "The Passion of Saint Thomas More", which Gramophone described as ""Hypnotic, magical, enchanting and moving...[with] touches of pure dramatic genius."
Rather than follow a literal interpretation of an historical situation, The Passion of Saint Thomas More is a meditation on the integrity of More's sublimely difficult decision to remain true to his convictions. The eclectic score includes 3 vocalists, Indian harmonium, English horn, guitar, and dumbek, and features headpieces by New York artist Louise McCagg, choreography by Christy Fisher, and directed by Ken Cerniglia.
