Rickey Woodard Quintet
This soulful sax player captures audiences wherever he performs. Rickey toured with Ray Charles for almost a decade, recorded for Concord Records, and performed with some of the best names in jazz (Clayton-Hamilton Jazz & the Juggernaut Orchestras, Frank Sinatra, Horace Silver). Although one can detect traces of Dexter Gordon and Hank Mobley, "he is on a determinedly original path, starting from the hard bop of his roots and proceeding into an improvisatory universe of his own making" Don Heckman Reviewer.
