The latest from documentary film pioneer Frederick Wiseman, whose most recent film La Danse took us inside the Paris Opera Ballet, Boxing Gym does the same with Lord's Gym, in Austin, Texas. A wide variety of people train here: men and women, lawyers and plumbers, immigrants, aspiring boxers, professional boxers, and teenagers trying to develop strength and assertiveness. The film explores the discipline of training as people from all walks of life aspire to reach their personal best.
