2nd Annual Mozart Birthday Celebration
Back by popular demand, this celebration of Mozart's birthday features Byron Schenkman and Friends performing an intimate program of chamber music and songs. Pianist/harpsichordist Schenkman, whose Mozart playing recently was described on allmusic.com as "playful, spontaneous, clean, and elegant," is joined by soprano Linda Tsatsanis, violinist Ingrid Matthews, cellist Nathan Whittaker, and pianist Rachel Matthews. Included on the program: Violin Sonata in F, K. 376; Piano Trio in B-flat, K. 502; Das Veilchen, K.476; six pieces from The Magic Flute arranged for piano, four hands by Christian Gottlob Neefe; and Beethovenâs Variations on Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen. Complimentary chocolates, sparkling beverages, and a chance to win prizes are included with admission. Presented by Town Hall.
