Chocolate Chip Chamber Music Presents: A Pirate's Treasure of Trumpets
A Pirate's Treasure of Trumpets features great music from Gabrieli to Joplin (performed by the Erklingen Brass Quartet) along with plenty of pirate lingo and antics to keep the whole family entertained.
As Baker Bobbie awaits the arrival of a mysterious ship, Handel's "Water Music" is heard in the distance. An ensemble of brass-playing pirates enters and, together with the audience, Baker Bobbie sets off on an adventure to explore the instruments of the brass family. Young listeners will enjoy trying their own swagger as they dance to lively pieces such as Way Down Yonder in New Orleans by Henry Creamer, and as always, concertgoers are sent off on a sweet note – a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie!
