It's 1958. When songwriter Albert Peterson discovers that popular singer Conrad Birdie will be drafted, his on-again-off-again girlfriend Rosie Alvarez comes up with a great publicity stunt Birdie will kiss one lucky girl on "The Ed Sullivan Show" before he leaves! Sweet girl-next-door Kim MacAfee is chosen and suddenly the entire small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio is thrown under media scrutiny! Will Conrad go through with the stunt? Will Albert finally settle down with Rosie? How can Kim and her family survive the onslaught of Conrad Birdie-screaming fans? Find out how it all turns out in this hilarious Tony Award winning musical!
