German Festival Concert
The show includes Bach's Singet dem herrn, followed by Bach in a jazz style a'la the Swingle Singers; a humorous radio skit that chronicles Bach's composing woes; a portion of Brahms''love waltzes' then a parody of the same using nursery rhymes. Outstanding professional soloists will be featured throughout, along with guest director and actor Donald Caldwell.
The L.A. Valley College Orchestra and combined choral groups of Pierce College and Valley College number 140 singers, who will present their third collaboration in three years. Terry Danne conducts the award-winning San Fernando Valley Master Chorale and Prmiere Chamber Chorale. Also conducting for this event is Dr. Michael Arshagouni, of the L.A. Valley College Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra.
