Some say that to embrace one's greatest talent is to make the world a better place. Others snicker at a grown man spinning a seventeen-foot hula hoop as a trivial obsession. Three would-be Guinness World Record holders are documented as they battle the odds in pursuit of global dominance. Sprinkled throughout are dozens of record holders, from phone-book rippers and human cannonballs to fast talkers and finger-snappers, who give their unique insight on record-breaking, what it takes to do it, and more importantly why.
