Happy Poet, The
When the director of this sly, hilarious comedy walked on stage after its screening at the Traverse City Film Festival, he received a spontaneous standing ovation from the entire audience. Comedy is all about timing and director Gordon who also plays the lead, has nailed it with his direction and acting. Bill decides to start an all-organic, vegetarian food cart near a park in downtown Austin. This entrepreneur is clueless about the selling and promoting but some random people who visit the stand decide to help him. If you can call it help. The Happy Poet is a funny, sweet, independent film that will make you laugh and smile.
