Growing Grapes A 2 hour Indoor/outdoor workshop. Grapes are one of the most universally enjoyed fruits available. Many of the new varieties have excellent taste, are winter hardy, and can make excellent wine. Grapes are fun to grow but present some challenges. Sonia Schloemann will help participants through the basics and give them the tools to overcome some of the challenges. Specific topics will include selecting varieties, soil requirements, planting recommendations, cultural practices, key pests and their management, pruning, vine training, and take questions. Then, outside we would put some of that into practice. Speaker, Sonia Schloemann, will remain available via email for attendees to ask questions if something isn't clear once the program is over.
you may BYO lunch and join us 12-1:00 if you like.
