Architalx 2015
The Architalx Board is pleased to announce our 27th annual April lecture series at the Portland Museum of Art's Auditorium. This year we are proud to present four incredibly talented designers who will be presenting their design process and visionary ideas at each of our Thursday night lectures.
The 2015 line-up:
April 2: Stephen Kopp / Monica Adair; ACRE Architects April 9: Barbra Wilks; W Architecture & Landscape Architecture, LLC April 23: Gary Hilderbrand; Reed Hilderbrand, LLC April 30: Jeff Kovel; Skylab Architecture
Details for attendees:
The Portland Museum of Art closes at 5pm, and then re-opens at 5:30pm to admit lecture attendees. On typical nights, a line begins to form at 5:00 under the colonnade.
In addition to on-line sales, tickets are available for purchase at the check-in desk for $15.00 (cash only please).
Seating is general admission in the auditorium, so please arrive early to get the front rows! In the event that both on-line and cash tickets are sold-out, we are able to accommodate as many as 50 additional attendees adjacent to the auditorium with CCTV viewing, so we can almost guarantee a seat for everyone. There is no admission fee charged for CCTV viewing. Lectures begin at 6:00; at 5:55 vacant seats will be offered to attendees waiting in the CCTV area (admission fee required).
PLEASE NOTE:
If you choose "WILL-CALL" tickets, you will need to check-in with Architalx ticketing in the Great Hall prior to proceeding to the Auditorium door. Please arrive early for check-in.
If you choose to "PRINT-AT-HOME", please bring your printed copy with you to the night of the lecture and proceed directly to the Auditorium for seating. If you forget your ticket on lecture night, please check-in upstairs with "Will-Call"
For those of you who are not familiar with Architalx, we are an all-volunteer, non-profit, organization whose mission is to provide informative programs in the fields of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and allied areas of design. We strive to bring a unique and relevant design dialogue to southern Maine by introducing our audience to a line-up of designers who are of international caliber.
