Miserere mei: Music for Holy Week
Cantores in Ecclesia, Blake Applegate, director, presents its annual concert for Palm Sunday on March 29, 2015, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in SE Portland. This year's concert, Miserere mei: Music for Holy Week, features sacred works by Allegri, Bruckner, Casals, Palestrina and Poulenc. Highlights of the program include Gregorio Allegri's famous Miserere, selections from Victoria's Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae and Poulenc's dramatic Quatre motets pour un temps de pénitence.
