Wo Ai Ni Mommy is a story of gain and loss, woven together by the growing bond between a mother and her adopted daughter. Throughout this film we witness the confusing and difficult aspects involved in the Chinese adoption process. We see the challenges the adoptee, Fang Sui Yong, as well as for her adoptive family, the Sadowsky's, face as they forge together their lives and future. As we watch Fang Sui Yong embrace and become all things American, we realize just how far she has travelled from her old life in China.
