The Quarrymen and The Malibooz in Concert at Our Lady of Malibu School. Friday, Oct 1st, 2010 7:30pm
Celebrate John Lennon's 70th Birthday with his original band, The Quarrymen. Rod Davis (guitar and banjo), Len Garry (guitar and homemade "tea-chest bass) and Colin Hanton (drums) - three of the original founding members of The Quarrymen will appear on stage in honor of John Lennon's 70th birthday In between songs they will share stories of the adventures they shared with John in the creation of the band that became the Beatles.
The Malibooz (featuring Walter Egan and John Zambetti) will open the show with a set focusing on their new album, QUEENS ENGLISH which is currently topping the CDBaby.com British Invasion chart. QUEENS ENGLISH contains 14 new songs in the British Invasion style with guest appearances by many of the original British Invasion artists including The Quarrymen. The band will also perform Walter Egan's million selling hit, Magnet & Steel.
