Wheedle's Groove (Southwest Premiere)
Black on White Affair, The Soul Swingers, Cold, Bold & Together, Cookin' Bag – these are just a few of the bands that were a huge part of the Seattle soul scene of the '60s and '70s. Via interviews with original band members, current and former Seattle residents such as Quincy Jones, Ben Gibbard, Mark Arm and narrator Sir Mix-A-Lot, director Jennifer Maas and Seattle soul specialist DJ Mr. Supreme present an amazing collection of archival audio and video that bring this forgotten soul scene to life.
